I am very pleased to invite you to a special gathering next week. One of our Herons Forever board members, Doris Yepez, received a King County WaterWorks grant to do native plant restoration in the Black River Riparian Forest.

Herons Forever is a partner in this project. Please join us at our launch meeting This is your chance to get involved on the ground floor of this project. It’s a great opportunity for all of you with an interest in native plants and restoration, and providing hands-on help. The herons, frogs, lizards, red fox, salmon, and myriad of birds – all residents of Black River – thank you. They want their native habitat back!
